Food Safety at Brindisa

Brindisa is the foremost importer of fine Spanish foods in the UK. Over almost two decades it has become a byword for high quality artisan products sourced from all over Spain.

The carefully nurtured relationship with our suppliers over many years gives us confidence in the products we sell, and we do everything in our power to ensure the integrity of the product and the producers we buy from.

Food Safety is of key importance to Brindisa: committed to food quality and food safety whilst recognising and respecting the need to comply with current European Legislation; and with our own in-house Technical team we are dedicated to ensuring that we make every effort to provide high quality, safe products.

John Davis, an independent external auditor with many years’ experience in the multiple retail sectors, regularly audits our producers in Spain. A member of our own bilingual Technical Department accompanies John on every audit to interpret and to ensure that our customers’ questions and requirements are taken into consideration.

Brindisa Ltd was again awarded the Higher Level Certificate for the CMi Technical Standard in Warehousing Storage and Distribution in July 2004.
