Produced from the meat of ibérico pigs that have been reared outdoors in the province of Salamanca and have fed on natural grasses, cereals and, on occasion, acorns.

Cured for a minimum of 30 months by a third generation family firm, the meat has a gently sweet aroma, a well balanced combination of savoury and rich notes and a long , clean aftertaste.

Pork, salt, preservative: E252. Made with 145g of Spanish pork per 100g of finished product.

Castro y González is a small, family run business that has been raising ibérico pigs and producing hams and other charcuterie from their meat since 1910.

Based in the town of Guijuelo, the furthest north that ibérico hams are commercially produced, they make products from the top two grades of ibérico meat, bellota and cebo de campo.
