Step into the world of Spanish jamón and discover the regional varieties of this artisan delicacy – the pride of Spain. Try your hand at one of Spain’s most respected culinary traditions under the expert instruction of one of our master carvers – slicing an air-cured ham leg with a foot-long cuchillo jamonero. All you prepare will be yours to take home.

To give you the authentic tasting experience, you will have the chance to taste some carefully chosen wines, specially selected to match our range of hams. So, join us on a very special journey all around Spain, from Extremadura in the South West to Cataluña in the North.

Introduction to Spanish ham

What makes a truly great Spanish ham? Our ham expert’s presentation will help you discover why this delicacy is so highly prized and clarify the complexities behind its production. From to Serrano to acorn-fed Ibérico, get a taste of the styles and distinct flavour profiles of jamones from different regions of Spain.

A slice of the action with some hands-on carving and tasting

Our expert will guide you through the all-important first steps of “opening” a ham, how to cut the perfect slice and explain how to care for and get the most out of the leg once you’ve done so.

Now for the big moment - it’s your turn to pick up the tools. Under the watchful eye of the master carver you’ll have the chance to put the lessons into practice (and take home the results to enjoy at your leisure).

After this, you’ll taste some excellent Spanish wines perfectly matched with our range of hams and have the chance to savour everything you’ve learned. Finally, make sure you take advantage of our 10% discount on any Brindisa delicacies that you want to buy on the night. Salud!

Brindisa Ham School Cancellation Policy
Cancellation - 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellation of your place at the Ham School to receive a full refund. All refunds will be made to the original purchaser of the tickets.

In certain circumstances, we may be able to transfer your booking to another Ham School event.

Brindisa reserve the right to cancel a Ham School if fewer than eight people have confirmed attendance 48 hours prior to the event. In this case, we will transfer your booking to another Ham School event or offer a refund. You will be notified by phone or email 48 hours prior to the event if it needs to be cancelled.

All of our Ham School sessions will run from 6pm to 8:30pm and we kindly ask attendees to arrive 15 minutes before the event starts.
