Spain produces a flavoursome, thin skinned variety of fig called Pajarero used by La Higuera to create these highly prized chocolates. Tarta de Santiago is the iconic product of this Galician city, popular with pilgrims for over a thousand years. Composed of a pastry case filled with almond paste, the most recognisable characteristic of the cake is the cross of St James in sugar on its surface. Rich, dense and moist, a delicious hand-made cake.

Floral, caramel notes. Slow-candied Portuguese Alentejo plums, hand-crafted with 1700s tradition. A true Portuguese delicacy, these PDO-certified Ameixa d’Elvas plums from the Alentejo region are preserved using a centuries-old confisage method dating back to the 17th century. Over the course of up to three months, the fruit is gently boiled and slowly candied in syrup until it develops a dense texture and a luxurious, honeyed flavour. Made with nothing more than plums and sugar, each fruit is carefully hand-selected and dried to ensure outstanding quality. The result is a richly aromatic plum with delicate floral notes, subtle caramel undertones, and an elegant sweetness that lingers on the palate. Presented in a wooden box, these plums make a refined gourmet gift.
