PART TIME BBQ ASSISTANT

Brindisa specialises in the selection, sales and distribution of some of the best food from Spain. The Brindisa range encompasses the full spectrum of fine foods and ingredients from cured hams, cheeses to olive oils all of which are chosen for their exceptional quality.
We have an opportunity for someone with an outgoing personality and a passion for food to work as a BBQ assistant at our flagship unit at Borough Market, London Bridge. This involves cooking our ‘infamous’ chorizo sausage on toasted bread filled with Piquillo Peppers, rocket salad drizzled with olive oil. The hours we require are:
- Tues-Wed:- 10.30am – 3.00pm
- Friday :- 09.00am – 7.00pm
- Saturday:- 09.00am – 6.00pm
In return we offer a basic salary of £7.00 to £8.00 per hour (dependent on experience), 40% staff discounts, 4.4 weeks annual leave, bonus payments, training opportunities and a friendly working environment.

We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic retail assistants to work at our market stand at Borough Market or Exmouth Market. This involves selling, food preparation, customer service, cash handling and merchandising.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have an active interest in Fine Food and healthy lifestyles. A flexible, capable person with a general can-do attitude will do well. Excellent command of written and spoken English is essential. Knowledge of Spanish food and Spanish charcuterie is highly desirable.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To maintain ham stock to required level.
- To keep ham display clean and in good order.
- To prepare and carve hams for restaurant and retail.
- To ensure hams are kept in the best of condition at all times.
- To maintain ham display, equipment and materials in a clean and safe condition. Ensuring all counter tops, work and floor surfaces are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- To show due care to the checking of deliveries and supplies at all times.
- To serve food and drink and take payment efficiently and securely
- To provide superior service to our customers
- To comply with food safety regulations in the preparation of all food and beverages
- To assist in training of Brindisa staff
- To deliver company and legal requirements
- Carry out any other duties as required to meet the needs of the business
